So I started playing Skyrim again. No one knew I stopped. lol But I did. Idk. As soon as my brother left, I lost interest?? lol
But just last night I was missing my Wood Elf and decided to play for a bit. But then I got frustrated cos I was on the quest where I had to sneak into Calcelmo’s laboratory and steal info about the Falmer language to decipher Gallus’ journal, right? And just for further information, I have Marcurio as a follower. And so we’d gotten past the first few guards inside Calcelmo’s lab, I believe it is?? The door you go through from within the museum.
Marcurio did most of the killing while I just sat in the back, crouching and out of sight. lol But we’d gotten past the first few guards and we’d gone through another door, the one that leads down to that tunnel with the poison gas. We snuck by as the guards had their backs turned to us and you know, you had to stand on the plate on the floor to clear the gas from the room.
So I tried to drag one of the dead guard’s bodies over to put on the plate, but son of a bitch was too heavy and I could only stand so close to that gas before it started hurting me so I had to give up on that. And then I was like, “Ok, well, I’ll just make Marcurio stand on the plate.” So I went over to talk to him and all he kept saying was “You’re not supposed to be in here.” I couldn’t get any other dialogue from him. Couldn’t check him to see what items he had of mine on his person and I couldn’t part ways with him.
So unable to continue, I gave up. And I picked it up again today. Nothing changed from last night and I may have made the mistake of saving so I couldn’t go back to a previous save. So I had to continue on from there. And the only thing I could do was make him wait on the pressure plate, which was helpful and took a few tries cos every time I’d exit the command, he’d follow and the gas would appear again. I even considered using Whirlwind Sprint or just outright running through the poison, but after a while I managed to get Marcurio to wait on the plate and made my way through to kill the guards from the other side, which now in retrospect I should’ve just outright killed with Marcurio cos at least then he’d still be following me.
After killing the guards, I did go back to try to get him to follow, but he just wouldn’t and he kept saying the same thing. “You’re not supposed to be in here.” So I just left him there and continued on with my quest, which went rather smoothly without Marcurio fucking my sneaking up. So I managed to get the rubbing of that Falmer stone Calcelmo had in his room and get out of there without killing his nephew or the guards and hauled ass back to where Marcurio was cos I really like him as a follower! Also, he has things of mine on his person that I can’t get back! And I want those things! Or maybe I put them away. Can’t remember. But I managed to get him to follow me to the entrance by making him wait in spots and then running and having him wait some more. So essentially, I’d run, make him wait, he’d say “Okay, I’ve got it,” and follow, and I’d make him wait somewhere else so he was following behind me. lol But he couldn’t leave the place so now he’s just stuck standing in front of the door and I can’t go back cos the guards in the museum attacked me as soon as I exited. So as sad as it is, Marcurio is just stuck there forever.
Idk if like letting a few days go by will eventually make him return to Riften where I can rehire him. This has never happened with a follower before so idk what to do. And I’m so used to having a follower with me. Makes things easier. Plus, I like hearing his commentary even if he can sorta be an ass at times. uwu
I hope this resolves itself. I miss him already. ;A;
Schrecklicher Tag Nummer 2. Heute ist mein Hase gestorben, meinen Freund hat es nicht wirklich gejuckt und ist anstatt am Abend zu mir, feiern gegangen. Mein Bruder hat seinen Führerschein bestanden 💪 Ich weiß nicht mehr was ich machen soll, mir geht es einfach nur noch scheiße. Selbst das Wetter ist fürn Arsch.
