let’s catch up; it’s been a while!

I feel like I haven’t updated you guys on my life in quite some time! honestly, I’m terrible about talking about myself: at work, with friends & family, online, etc. I struggle with talking about myself because it kind of makes me feel uncomfortable - but I think everything gets easier with practice so here we goooo!

first of all, I’m about to start a new job soon as a substitute teacher! I’ve been working on the application process, paperwork, and trainings for several weeks and now I’m on the final step! I’m excited but nervoussssssss. I’ve worked at my current job for three years so I’m very comfortable there. but I have to break out of my comfort zone. I’m looking forward to a more rewarding job + better pay. but I’m nervous that something will go wrong or I’ll make a huge fool of myself. ahh, I have to trust myself; my competency and intuition.

next, is the 100 DOP Challenge... *sighs* here’s the downside of the challenge that I didn’t consider before starting: over the course of ~70 days, I have slowly built up my idea of what being productive is. at first, I just wanted to accomplish two things a day (even if it was just getting out of bed bc, hey, sometimes that’s hard). but now, I feel extremely guilty if I only get three things done a day, especially if none of them are study-focused. this is something I just need to get out of my head; I need to be proud of myself for what I DO accomplish. I need to be proud that my laundry is done, my dishes are clean, and my queue is filled; because when I started this whole thing, that was really difficult! (I also need to actually make an effort to post my DOP pictures every day because oooOOOf I’ve been slacking)

NEXT, (let me try to refrain from screaming too much) I see BTS in like a WEEK. Y’ALL. eight days. e i g h t. EIGHT DAYS GUYS. I’m going to lose my MIND. I think I’ll be in a state of awe and euphoria (heheh) the whole time :’) my boyfriend is going with me so I’m also really excited to go on a roadtrip with him; he’s my best friend!

lastly! I’m tired of my profile picture and I want to change it; but like,,, I’ve also had this one for such a long time and I feel tied to it? I feel like it’s my ~brand and it’s easier to identify my tumblr bc of it? idk but even right now as I’m typing this post and staring at the picture, I’m itching to change it (lol I don’t know why I’m mentioning this but it’s just a side thought I have - anywaysss)
