anime i watched in (the last quarter of) 2023
my happy marriage
i don't even normally watch period-type dramas (even if it's with a twist) but i stuck through it because of the wholesome moments these two had, plus the animation is sublime, OSTs are banger, and the entire character development that miyo had was relatable in more ways than one 🥺
this one definitely tugged on my heartstrings a lot. might be a bit too much for some people, and the ending did seem abrupt, but there seems to be a second season so i'm looking forward to what else they have in store!
