@spnpoetryrenaissance: Childhood
Gold Cigarette House
Childhood is smoking on some stranger's kitchen floor.
(they call it a boys home. this isn't a home cause there's no mom and dad says it so)
Enough smoke makes you dizzy and takes you back to before;
When fire was a simple fear. When you would run from smoke.
Take your brother and— hold the smoke in your lungs to remember why you hunt.
Oh look you've reatched the cigarette butt.
"This is John Winchester. I can't be-"
Run
Do you think Grissom told anyone about Natalie's intentions after he found the hanging doll in 9x07?
hi, anon!
oh, yeah, i definitely think he reports his findings—most likely right away.
grissom certainly has complicated feelings about natalie, but it's clear from his interactions with her at the psychiatric jail ward—as well as his testimony offered in her sanity hearing—that he doesn't want her dead.
i mean, the last thing he says to her attorney is that he's sorry he couldn't do more to help natalie get the treatment that she obviously needs, so it's clear that even for all natalie has done to hurt him/sara/her other victims/society in general, he doesn't wish ill on her; he understands that she is sick.
he believes she is already being punished for her crimes by having to serve out her sentence, whether in the psychiatric jail ward or a regular prison, and the fact that she is is justice enough for him.
between that basic belief + the fact that we've seen him try to save the lives of other serial killers who have attempted to commit suicide in his presence in the past (see episode 05x06 "what's eating gilbert grissom?") + his implied anti-capital punishment views (see episode 03x06 "the execution of catherine willows") + his sympathy for natalie as an abuse victim/someone suffering from mental illness + his staunch humanism + his general character, i just can't believe he'd tuck that miniature away in his pocket and keep quiet about what he had seen.
no, he'd flag down the first guard he saw and get natalie placed on suicide watch before she was transferred to the state prison in jean.
of course, whether or not his warning would actually come in time for officials to save natalie's life is more in question.
on the one hand, the csi tie-in novel shock treatment by greg cox states that natalie’s suicide attempt is indeed successful.
however, on the other hand, the canonicity of said novel is questionable, particularly as, in show-time, grissom finds natalie's suicide miniature pretty much immediately after she's taken from her cellblock, meaning he should have ample time to raise the alarm before she's able to harm herself.
the show itself never reveals her true fate, one way or the other.
while court documents relating to the miniature killer case do make a “cameo” appearance in s1 of csi: vegas, it’s unclear if by that point natalie is still alive.
anyway, in either case, whether grissom is able to save natalie’s life in time or not, i think it’s almost certain that he at least tries to.
he doesn’t want that girl dead.
thanks for the question! please feel welcome to send another any time.

Any Cas? Nope
"You better come out or the belt's coming off" oh i don't like you
Of course John lied to Sam about where Dean was
"He found me quick. But he left me here, because I lost our money." HE SAYS WITH A SMILE. LIKE THAT'S NORMAL. LIKE THAT'S NOT EXTREMELY FUCKED UP
"None of this was dad's fault" DEAN 😭
He stole BREAD and PEANUT BUTTER and when John finds out, WHAT does he say????
Of course he punched the cop, good for him
Dean. You saw a werewolf for the first time on the show. And that's not what a werewolf bite looks like anyway. It was John. Father of the fucking year did that to you
God the look in Dean's eyes at the memories
San found Dean's old bed 🥺
Dean arguing the impracticality of capes, Edna would be proud
And god just.. Dean being wonderful with another kid. He should have stayed with Sonny and eventually taken over from him
He calls this place a win because nobody sexually assaulted him or beat him up. THE IMPLICATIONS OF THAT THOUGH
They should probably make it standard procedure to stick around for an extra day or two after they think they've killed a ghost. At least when they hadn't seen the ghost first.
He's doing good in school, he's making friends, he made the wrestling team 😭
Robin doesn't remember him, that's devastating..
But also hi Erica from Being Erica
Dean going into protective mode when he sees the boy get bullied..
Ouch
We'll something's sure controlling Timmy
Dean learning the guitar 🥺
Well shit, they both ended up doing what their parents wanted them to
"When you're done, they leave and you're not responsible for them anyone" damn, that is some way to describe why you like fixing cars
Awwww, his first kiss
She does remember him, but he broke her heart so she doesn't want to talk to him 😭
Oh the poor boy, it's his mum!
Oh Dean, you saying this..
Timmy running to hug Dean 😭
"Never felt right" liar
"I couldn't wait to get out of here" such a liar
"It wasn't me" IT COULD HAVE BEEN
He was about to take her to the dance and John wouldn't even let him have that one night.
Sonny would have fought for him to stay
He's in freaking tears at the idea of going back to his father
BUT THEN HE SEES SAM AND HE HAS TO GO BECAUSE HE LOVES HIS BROTHER AND CAN'T ABANDON HIM
Sammy thanking him in that moment means absolutely everything. I don't care that Dean dismisses it because he can't deal with it, that moment is vital
