Aziraphale and Crowley sacrificed themselves so humans could finally be free, in a brand new universe. So why is Crowley still here, with no universe in sight?
Crowley should have been furious. He was, in a sense. But the whole lack of corporation and glands and stuff made it strangely theoretical. Like these parts of floating bits of him were furious, and these others ones, that were still him but just a little further away, were busy trying to understand what the fucking hell was happening.
A fluffy canon compliant fix-it fic after the ride of the finale.

Long before he became the cynical demon Crowley, Kokabiel had been a starry-eyed angel. But faced with the biggest disappointment of his life, there is only one person he can turn to.
This fic was written both for the Rare Omens event 2026 "Crowley + Lucifer" and for the Do It With Style event "Maggie's Record Shop" and was inspired mainly by the song "I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)" by Susan Egan but also by "Ravens in the library" by S J Tucker.
Because we all know what happens next, it also qualifies for the Tragedy Thursday of the Ineffable Countdown, thank you @maidenimage for organising it!

"Hello love," she said softly. "Why so sad?"
Aziraphale didn't answer, focusing on slowly separating two pages glued together by the years.
"Oh don't be like that!" she insisted. "What was I supposed to do?"
Maybe if he used a flat blade to detach the sheets...
"Even if it wasn't for me, can't you see how absurd this is? He loves you too, you know?"
The angel put down the razor blade, as sharp objects might not be suited for this conversation.
"You've been a real bother so far. You don't need to also be cruel," he stated testily.
OR
As the direct approach didn't work, Madame Tracy tries a more subtle one. Maybe the angel only needs a little bit of persuasion to finally confess his feelings?

Very excited to announce that the first chapter "The apparition" is now on AO3!
Madame Tracy is dead and she’s taking it well, as she lived a full life and her knees don’t hurt anymore. But she’s stuck on earth as a ghost and that’s definitely Aziraphale’s fault. So he can either confess his feelings to Crowley or get extremely haunted for the rest of his eternal existence.
He gaped at her, then frowned and subtly took a defensive stance.
"What on earth are you?"
"Don't you recognise me?"
As it was the middle of the night, the shop was barely lit, and the angel was so startled that he had hardly taken a look at his surprise guest... until now. The blond hair didn't ring any bells, but the flashy clothes, the heavy make-up, the high-pitched voice...
"Madame Tracy?" he breathed in surprise.
"You can call me Marjorie, love. I'm not here for work."
"Why—why are you here? And why are you..." He had just noticed that she was slightly translucent and couldn't find how to put it in a polite way. He vaguely gestured toward her.
"Oh. I'm fairly certain I'm dead," she said simply.
