"To be lonely is a habit like smoking or taking drugs. And I've quit them both, but, man was it rough."
-Jenny Lewis, Acid Tongue
(Imagine Crowley smoking holy incense after Aziraphale leaves to feel closer to his angel. It burns, but he finds it worth the comfort.)
My (very late. Whoops!) submission for do-it-with-style-events' Maggie's record shop event.
This song has become one of my favorites, so a huge thank you to whoever recommended it :)
Long before he became the cynical demon Crowley, Kokabiel had been a starry-eyed angel. But faced with the biggest disappointment of his life, there is only one person he can turn to.
This fic was written both for the Rare Omens event 2026 "Crowley + Lucifer" and for the Do It With Style event "Maggie's Record Shop" and was inspired mainly by the song "I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)" by Susan Egan but also by "Ravens in the library" by S J Tucker.
Because we all know what happens next, it also qualifies for the Tragedy Thursday of the Ineffable Countdown, thank you @maidenimage for organising it!
Thanks a lot to @angie-words, @bohoteacher and @sakascal for beta reading it ❤️
Coming in September, the crossover AU you didn’t know you needed! It’s Angel Barbie, written by yours truly with art from decquinox as a part of Do It With Style’s Silver Screen Bang
Excerpt under the cut
“Who’s this guy, Uncle AJ? New boyfriend?” Aziraphale turned and found the owner of the voice. A teenaged girl with light brown skin, dark curly hair pulled away from her face in a simple ponytail, and a decidedly bored expression.
“Hello to you, too, Pep,” said Anthony, and then he looked back at Aziraphale. “This is Aziraphale. You are, aren’t you? Angel Aziraphale?”
“I am,” he stared into Anthony’s golden eyes. They were beautiful.
Pepper’s eyes were huge. “The Barbie doll you designed? How is that even possible?”
I'm super excited to show you a collaboration I've done with amazing @contritecactite for @do-it-with-style-events Mini Reverse Bang!
I've done this stupidly detailed art (I've spend 24 hours of work on this!), for which Contritecactite wrote a wonderful and funny little story.
Crowley and Aziraphale have a long history together. They used to hide it and pretend they were someone else to not get into trouble. But since one Apocalypse that didn't end the way it should, things start to change to be more clear, somehow... Or how Aziraphale smitted one mighty Serpent. Or did he?

Hi, everyone! I've been gone for ages (long story short: I'm 2/3 of the way through grad school) but this summer I had a chance to work with @salenakingston and artist @rjcee-art on a great new fic!
Throughout history, Aziraphale and Crowley have tried--and failed--to communicate with each other. Unsent letters, deleted voice mails, missives lost in the confusion of moving around. But with each undelivered message, they reveal more of how they care for each other.
This fic is part of the @do-it-with-style-events Strongly Worded Notes event--epistolary fics, pen pal AUs, and other exchanges of letters between our favorite ineffable duo!
Here's a bit of how mine starts...
Uz, 2500 BC
Angel—
Greetings and salutations
The purpose of this letter is to inform you
What’s up?
Hello. I assume you can guess who this is, based on the sulfur-scented paper and blood-red ink. I am writing to check in
I wanted to touch base
I thought it best to follow up
Ah, hell. I don’t know why I’m writing this. I would almost think you put some kind of angel-curse on me to compel me to contact you, except you’re too bloody good to curse anyone, aren’t you? Emotional blackmail is more your speed
Ever since the Job job the incident in Uz, I keep catching myself thinking about you what happened. It was good pretty successful, wasn’t it? I dropped by to check in on the family, just in case. The kids are all still there, and Sitis thinks she’s pregnant already, and all of them thanked me over and over and it was embarrassing. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with all this gratitude, so I’m passing it along. It’s your problem now. Have fun with that.
