I'm nearly a senior student.
I'm going to be in the 11th grade next year, huh.
I feel like my mind is older than my actual age for most things.
But when I see big changes, my mind is a little bamboozled.
And this blog? It's now a year old.
Jeez, I did not have a good mental state a year ago.
But now, I got less anxiety, less panic, I've got more courage, more resilience, I've made new friends and learnt why others never considered me as one. I've met new people and expanded my interests.
To be brutally honest, I never thought I'd get this far in an interest. Or this blog, as I've always kept it as a place to plop my art and keep going. And to just stay as a quiet place to not bother anyone.
A year on, making new connections and feeling a bit more human. And feeling a lot less lost.
So, I'm glad to be here, I'm glad to have a group of people to just ramble on about my day and just throw my art at. I'm glad that I have new irl friends that I don't have to be worried that they don't like me. And I'm just glad that, for anyone I had met, that I got to have connections and become more confident to reach out, even if I wasn't as frequent with talking to people as I should.
2020, in many ways, helped me reach out in ways a normal year probably would not have.
And I'm really just feel glad I got here.
