HOLY CRAP!!!  

A few days ago, I was asking myself whatever happened to that Cloverfield follow-up. If the film didn’t get made in 2018, ten years after the original, then what’s the point (by a studio and marketing standpoint). Especially, if this sequel was just the same New York Cloverfield attack, but from someone else’s point of view (via camera phone, etc.).

I’ve heard the director of Cloverfield (Matt Reeves) was going to return, but working on the new “Planet of the Apes” films would put those sequel plans on hold. 

But J.J. Abrams and his production company, Bad Robot, kept this secret under our noses without anyone noticing. Can’t wait for this!
