This is a Story About Reality
The liver is the only organ in the human body besides the skin that can regenerate itself. This explains why my brain never seems to realize when it's time to change. These neurological pathways are so ingrained, it's like asking the water in the ocean to start carving out a stream
of consciousness that nobody ever considered. And my God I'm done being told how to flow, by everyone who never considered the weight of their opinion. I bet I could go to the moon and gravity would find me there. Held down, held back, hold on tight I'm being held tight. This is not a warm embrace, this is suffocation.
Introduction: Healthy Habits in Him
As the premier page of my blog, I thought that we should get to know one another. So, here we go. I am now 48 and recently came to the realization that I need to change my life or suffer the imminent consequences; namely death by the age of 50. I know most of the people reading this will in no means be in such a dire straight, but I would like to share with you my story. Frankly, I had pretty much given up on life. I was around 120 pounds overweight with little hope of being able to exercise that away. I had such severe medical conditions that my medicine cabinet wouldn’t hold all my prescribed medications for a single month, and I had lost any will to continue on the way that I was. I remember waking up early one morning and realized that it was getting bright outside and I began to cry, upset with God for having allowed me to awaken to yet another day. How could He, an omniscient being, not see the pain and anguish that I was going through? How could He leave me here to face yet another day filled with the pain I had and the lack of desire to live? Why couldn’t He just take me home?
That was where I started from, not that long ago. It was in the winter of 2013-14. I have found, again, the will to live, lost a decent portion of that weight, and begun the road to real recovery, where God is the center of my life. Yes, I’m still overweight and have pain, but now God has me on the journey to becoming the woman He wanted me to be all along.
Healthy lifestyles aren’t just about diet and exercise, but being the best you can possibly be: In mind, body and spirit. My journey is going to be on display for you, and that will be the content of my blog. Pick up those nuggets that you feel that you can incorporate into your own life, and use them to gain a healthier, happier life that is pleasant to you and glorifies God!
May God so richly bless you that you have no choice but to share!

Introduction: Passion Through Pain
Hi there! My name is Caleb. I function as a worship leader, teacher, song writer, editor, and now blogger for Within Christ Ministries (WCM). Aside from this, I am also a student at Missouri State University, and an active anti-drug presenter for Mothers Against Meth-amphetamine (MAMa) of Willow Springs, Missouri. More importantly, though, I am a worshiper and lover of Yahweh, the King of Glory, whose blood was shed for me.
As mentioned, this portion of WCM’s blog will focus upon Christianity from the perspective of a worship leader’s heart. In this blog, I intend to share bits and pieces of my testimony, and in doing so, I would like to bring to light the passion and love that darkness seems to be choking out of this world and even the Church, whom is the bride of Christ.
Nearly every post made here will be made in the form of a challenge that I have taken on, or I am currently dealing with. A lot of what I will be talking about will simply be observations about this world and the people therein. I greatly enjoy taking the words from a book that is thousands of years old and applying those same principles to today’s technologically-advanced world.
One thing that I would greatly enjoy is hearing back from you, personally! If you have any questions, comments or concerns, or if you just need someone to talk to, or if you’d like to share a portion of your own story, you can freely email me at [email protected]. Or, if you are part of Tumblr already, feel free to reblog or comment upon my posts! I view every conversation that I have as a learning experience, and your point of view might shed new light from a different perspective that I have yet to take into consideration.
Thanks for checking out my blog; I hope that the principles and bits of wisdom that are here are found to be beneficial to your love walk with your Savior and King.
