Tagged by @cacodaemonia, thank you! I don't really have anything to show this week but I decided to do this anyway just to talk about what I've been up to :)

After writing and posting like crazy in November I've been taking it slow this month, haven't really started any gift exchange gifts yet o.o

I'm basically just going through all of my drafts from the year that I haven't managed to finish, occasionally adding something to one but mainly just copy pasting them to my Ao3 draft piles, I made a couple more fandom specific ones and then for the ones where I just had one or two fics I decided to make a wlw and an mlm work for the year and then mark them as complete (I am so so so annoyed by people who post works with individual stories in different fandoms and then Every time a new chapter is added it shows in the tags of all fandoms even though the chapter is probably Not about every single one of them lmao. So. I do Not want to be part of the problem xD either posting them all in one go and then making a new one end of next year, or sticking to one fandom per work.)

So anywayy my only Ao3 draft at the moment is the 'abandoned wlw drafts 2025' pile... oh and on my laptop I've got another draft, a German translation of the first part of inexplicifics' AWAU. Started it earlier this year as a kind of translating exercise (and bc i do love that fic!) and abandoned it bc I saw sb else had already translated it (though very different to my translation, I'm much less literal, more vibes based?) and have to admit the only reason I'm continuing it now is because without wip works like the draft piles which I'll continue next year and where the wordcount therefore won't keep counting for 2025, I'm about 20k below my yearly goal of 100k... And that fic is over 20k long and I already have 10k translated xD

Currently struggling with how the fuck to translate Ciri's 'cub' nickname which in English stands for both wolfy and liony allegiances (as @toboldlynerd had to point out to me xD), and in German there's just no word that works for both of those! Oh well -_-

We're getting another LycoReco LN, and I'm dealing with a fun internal conflict. I bought the first 2 in JP before they were licensed in English, of course since then I've bought the first one and will buy the second one when it releases. For this third one, do I wanna buy in JP for completeness? Or ignore and just go all in on English, assuming this third one gets licensed to begin with? A difficult decision...

Today some regional coaches or area managers or some other combination of words were at work and they noticed I was new and praised my attitude and shit and I was like thanks but then they gave me a little letter with like a £25 voucher in it, and I've gone to the whole activating it thing and I still don't know what the voucher is even for which is very funny. But like, huh, that's awesome. Nice confidence boost after yesterday. I'm used to just getting like shitty badges so something of actual monetary worth is kind of epic.
