Look out, it's the 10, 000 Volt Ghost:
- Ella Voltner wasn't the most popular in high school. Often being bullied by the other girls for not being all that pretty. Her family life wasn't all that great either. Both her parents were always at each other's throats whenever they got the chance. In public, they didn't seem all that bad, but she knew what they were like behind closed doors. She was a prisoner in her own home and had no one and no where to go. Well, thats not entirely true. She had a little baby brother whom she cared for deeply. Another thing about Ella was that she was able to manipulate and had a high tolerance to electricity. It was an ability she's had since as long as she can remember. From short circuiting lightbulbs, to setting off car alarms. One thing she noticed about this power of hers was that it was tied to her emotions. When she was calm, it was manageable (w/ the only one knowing of her secret being her baby brother). When she lost her temper or was under extreme amounts of stress, the electrical output was wild and anything close that was electrical based or powered was effected. On the night of her prom, she was halted by her parents who saw her dress as too revealing and slut shame her. Angry, she retaliates by saying she’s going regardless of what they say. She goes to push them out of the way, but to her horror she electrifys them. Stopping their hearts instantly. Leaving two very clear scar-like handprints on each of their bodies. It looked as though they had been struck by lightning. Ella was horrified by what she had done. Her thoughts were interrupted by the crying of his baby brother. Ella quickly went to check on him, and soothed him back to sleep. After he was placed back to sleep, she took him over to their neighbor’s house. The older couple were one of the few nicer folks in town, and gladly accepted to watch over the sleeping child so that she could go to prom. She claimed that her parents weren’t home yet. At the prom, she was asked to the dance by a fellow student who she liked. It was one of her few happy moments. When it came to nominate the prom king and queen, Ella was called along w/ the boy who asked her to dance. It seemed too perfect to be true. It was. As she stood there in front of the crowd, up above in the rafters was two of Ella’s regular tormentors. W/ them they held a bucket full of water. When the time was right, they dumped it right on top of her. Humiliating her in front of everyone. The laughter was short-lived as the large amounts of water caused the not at all up-to-date wireing to spark and Ella was given the literal shock of her life. Ella cried out in utter pain and rage, all the lights and anything electrical in the school went crazy and before her final breath, she let one last wail that plunged nearly the entire town into complete darkness. When the backup power came on, her lifeless body lay on the floor. She had died. The high school reunion drew close, being only a week away. Over 10 years have passed, and the ghost of Ella Voltner sparked back to life, taking the form of a human-shaped electrical mass. Going out on a killing spree against all those who had wronged her in life e.i. everyone who was there that night. This is about where Mystery Inc steps onto the scene.
