Give everything for the next 10 seconds of your life.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce at age 38 raced into history today, her final lap in an iconic career. She ran in Jamaica’s 4×100m relay to a silver medal at the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, passing the baton, quite literally to the next generation. 🏃🏾♀️🇯🇲
Her personal best of 10.60 seconds (2021) makes her the third-fastest woman in history. Over nearly two decades she collected three Olympic golds, ten world golds, and became a symbol of resilience, coming back after giving birth, defying expectations about age, motherhood, and longevity in sport.
Her final individual race (100m final in Tokyo) ended with a 6th-place finish (11.03s), but make no mistake, her legacy is so much bigger than time or medals. She showed us what consistency, heart, and identity look like. Thank you, “Pocket Rocket,” for everything you’ve contributed to the sport. 🏃🏾♀️🚀
Sha’Carri Richardson holds her gold medal after winning the women’s 100-meter final on Day 2 of the U.S. Olympic track and field trials on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Hayward Field in Eugene. Howard Lao for The Oregonian/OregonLive
will be turning these into stickers for the hyakuemu fan screening this week 🏃💨
