I contemplate the happy faces of people around me here in Ireland and reminisce about the happy normal life my family and I had before the war. A life that turned into a distant memory for us and was replaced by an unending series of horrible nightmares.
Unlike my family in Gaza, people here have access to drinking water, all types of food, electricity, and a roof over their heads. Above all, they are safe, and I cannot help but wonder if they genuinely do appreciate these blessings in their lives enough.
People seem relaxed and laughing wholeheartedly around me in Ireland. I wish I could laugh too, but I am crushed way beyond recovery on the inside. I was evacuated by my Irish college after five months of living the horrors of war in Gaza. I hope you will never know what it feels like to live in constant fear and worry and be horrified by the most sickening and scary nightmares every single night while you are far away from your family in such circumstances.
When did my people in Gaza cease to be human beings worthy and deserving of a normal life? Has it become normal now for my family in Gaza to be starved and killed while the whole world is watching the genocide? If that is the case, then you will have to excuse me if I seek every avenue to bring them to Ireland and start a new normal life like all people here around me.
I was assured by the Irish Reugee Council (IRC) and lawyers in Ireland that there is hope I can reunite with my family in Ireland. In difficult times, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For me and my family, you are literally our light and hope for a better life.

Urgent Appeal: There's a high chance my wife and children will have a chance to evacuate to Ireland in August!
After months of uncertainty, we finally have a glimmer of hope. My wife is expected to evacuate to Ireland in early August with the support of my Irish college. At the same time, other members of my family are hoping to evacuate temporarily to Egypt while they wait for their reunification visas to join us in Ireland.
But we cannot get there without your help.
Every step toward safety comes with overwhelming costs (evacuation, border crossings, temporary accommodation, travel, visa expenses, and the challenge of rebuilding our lives after everything we have lost). These expenses are simply beyond our family's means.
If you have already donated, thank you for giving us hope. If you are able to help again, or if you can share our campaign with others, it could make the difference between my family remaining in danger or finally reaching safety.

masbro i just watched 100m with a friend last night and we love all your art
A funny thing happened where my friend and I thought Kabaki was Zaitsu because of the fringe. "Oh so his full name is Kabaki Zaitsu. He cut the mushroom hair." We thought his career started falling off, but he became more chill and less like the esoteric guy that visited Komiya's school. "Wow he really mellowed out! Look he even has a cat. Damn, he probably got a girlfriend haha. Started living life, cut his hair, smiling more. Good for him."
We thought the guys on the Big Sprinter poster were Komiya and Nigami of all people. "Wow his back got better and he's crazy good now!"
Needless to say, when Zaitsu started talking to Komiya in that indoor track and showed off his beautiful long hair, my friend and I had to reframe so much. Kabaki-san I'm sorry we were slandering you and calling you a weirdo... The weirdo was right here...
