I dunno why, but I felt like going back to a few old Desynchronized sketches that I never finished. They're still not "finished" and I don't think I'll really do anything with them since Desynchornized/DSYNC is effectively dead to me.

That said, I did *try* to do something with the first one, but it just wasn't working out. Under the cut due to eye strain.

Grab Bag Doodles

Where did my motivation go... I feel like I'm getting swallowed by the sadness again. Nevertheless, life goes on, and I still manage to doodle once in a while.

1-3) 1010 DSYNC doodles. Since I'm trying to go a little lighter, I'm trying to simplify how I draw them. It'll be harder to be mad at White when he's just a little fella, ya know? I'm not a big fan of how it's turning out, but it's a direction I suppose.

4) Kliffby. Stupid ass doodle I did. I don't think it needs elaboration.

5) Tabuu doodle. Didn't think I'd be drawing this guy again. I used a model reference for the pose, but I don't feel too good about it. I don't feel like this drawing is actually mine when I stick to the reference so closely. The last sketch I posted of White also used a model reference, but it was a "reference", not so much a trace like I did here. I dunno, I guess this is what they're there for, and I'm allowed to do it, but even if the art comes out more coherent like this, I don't feel like I'm growing...

6) Kun3h0 sits. She sit. Will I ever actually stream again? Maybe someday.

Doodle of Desynchronized!White that I wanted to post.

I haven't been drawing as much as I'd like lately, but I've been thinking about Desynchronized a bit, and how I'd like to pull it back into being a light-hearted comedy. I think the first step towards that is making sure White doesn't turn into the worst guy ever, again.

But he can still be a little terrible. As a treat.

Red (Mini 1010 Headcanon)

I’d say that besides White and Green, Red is the 1010 that has the most developed role in my stories. I like the juxtaposition of Red’s persona being wild and aggressive when he’s actually the most emotionally aware and mature of all the 1010s behind the scenes. It’s not the most unique set of character traits, but I like it.

The main idea around Red is that since White essentially fills the “father” role to the other 1010s (and that’s true in Desynchronized and Canonish), it’s actually Red who’s closer to being the “big brother” archetype to the others. He’s responsible enough to be a mentor figure and offer support when he needs to, but since maintaining group conduct isn’t his responsibility, he also has the liberty to goof-off with the others too. His unique position of being the second in command also allows him to extend his brotherly qualities towards White who is otherwise alienated from the other 1010s due to his position. Red is the only 1010 that White will drop his guard around, and he’s the only 1010 that can stand up to White if he starts pushing the others too hard. Red is basically the mediator between White and the others, since he has both perspectives of being the leader and being a subordinate that none of the other 1010s have.

By coincidence, I also think it goes with the idea that red is usually the color associated with the leader in color-coded ensembles like this. It’s like Red is the leader that White should have been but can’t be due to the stress of trying to manage everything on his own. I thought that this might lead to some jealousy on White’s part, but I think that despite White’s constant stress, he’s happy to have at least one person in the group that he can (usually) depend on.

I guess these count as scraps since that blog has been pulped. Just various drawings I’d done for @totallynota1010 before I gave up on maintaining it.

Originally there was a lot more to the “comeback” post, but I dialed it way back from the final.

Doodle Dump

A collection of the doodles I’ve done both on and off stream.

1) XIO doodle. I’d like to finish this one, but there’s a lot of things that feel “off” about it. I’m thinking of redesigning his whole uniform to be a little more distinct from the original Neon J. If his battle were real, it would take place on a rollercoaster instead of the limousine.

2) A happy Kerinting doodle I mindlessly did while talking about his trauma on stream :3c

3) Random doodles.

4) Rhythm Heaven X NSR doodles. I really want to do the other album covers for the remixes I did, so these were some character doodles I did to try and figure out who should be on each over. I’d also like to redo Vs. Tatiana, because the more I listen to it, the less I like it.

5) Galeem and Dharkon. Decided to revisit them for a bit. I’m still not totally happy with their designs. They’re just too plain and lack the “tangled” quality that the base designs have ;3;

6) GAB stancing up. A silly doodle I made on stream. It’s so long since I’ve drawn GAB, I kinda forgot how to draw em ^^;
