Ah, I love Saturday. Up early to go get a trim at my local salon. Feeling more pregnant by the hour. 😆 I’m still proudly fastening my same pre-pregnancy jeans with a hair tie but ladies & gents I think it’s time to buy some actual maternity jeans. Callie & Casper are enjoying the boxes piling up in the kitchen.. crib, stroller, and car seat are here!
I found myself kinda bored and aimless around noon so I decided to cook. The finished product was a sheet of chicken nachos complete with two kinds of cheese, bell peppers, onion, black beans, and corn, topped with homemade guacamole.. and holy cow. So good. It’s 7pm and neither of us are hungry for dinner yet.
After that epic feast, I proposed that we go “walk it off” with a little hike. The weather was perfectly crisp and it was a really nice time. Just getting out and smelling the woods and breathing the fresh air felt very therapetic. I think we’re officially past the prime leaf peeping season here in NY but it was lovely nonetheless. Of course B brought his bow along, but there wasn’t much hunting happening today.
One thing I’ve noticed: I get tired SO much more easily now that I’m further along. I was lucky enough to be able to hike practically every weekend through a good chunk of my first trimester. That energy has taken a real hit.
Now it’s Netflix time — putting my feet up and starting to watch The Founder, a movie about Ray Kroc and his dream for McDonalds. So far, I’m loving it. Though I’m only 20 minutes in and I’m already wanting burgers for dinner. Wait.. didn’t I just say I wasn’t hungry?
