“C’monnn, you can’t just spill his name without making sure it is HIM,” you whined to Xilonen.
She and Mualani had barely just arrived from Natlan, and you were already bombarding her with questions about this “Ifa” guy. She started at you with a fed up glare before responding, “Was he wearing a cowboy like hat?”
“Yes.”
“The saurian that followed you was round and pink?”
“Yes.”
“Then yeah, it’s him.”
Escoffier walked over to the table, setting down trays of sweets. “Personally, you should go for it.”
“I don’t even know where he’s staying, let alone talk to him without making myself look like an idiot.”
“Hmm, isn’t there a valentines event going on?” Mualani chimed in.
“Yeah, why do you ask?” Charlotte answered through a mouth full of cake.
“I bet he’s going! The grand prize is a whole date paid by the person behind it!”
“How are you so sure…”
“I don’t think anyone would decline the opportunity for free food.” Clorinde adds on.
“Well, if you guys say so…”
“Testing..testing! Can everyone hear me??” Pauline-Lepauline spoke into mic, “Well, now that everyone is here, allow me to address the rules to the Shutter-Flash Hunt Event! It’s very simple; you will be given a wristband of a certain color, and the person with the same one as you will be your partner throughout the entire game!”
“You and your partner must find and photograph at least 25 of any heart shaped item around the designated area, and whichever pair gets 25 first wins the free date!”
“You will find the stalls with the wristbands to your right, please head over there.”
The crowd shifted in the said direction, you following in suit. Furina and Mualani were bickering besides you, guessing which color they’d get. As the crowd started to lessen, you acquired your wristband, a teal one. Once everyone had gotten theirs, they returned to the center to await new instructions.
“Now that everything has been explained, and waistbands have been obtained, find your partners and let the Hunt begin!”
The crowd started to dissipate, pairs started to form. As you searched for another teal wristband, you felt something slam into your head snd squawk, “Pretty Lady! Pretty Lady!”
