I’ve always wanted to do book reviews here but I can’t review a book for shit, or movies. I love them and I know how I feel about them I just hate putting it into words. It’s different than analysis for me.
But anyways I am about 100 pages into The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen and I really enjoy it so far! I’m excited for the direction it’s going in. I specifically love how it has addressed the strange way in which society is more shocked by graphic depictions of sex vs graphic depictions of violence. And of course I do find the narrators writing style very charming. Maybe I’ll give an update of how I feel when I finish!
