okay omls, im so sossososo happyyy i get to give you little updates abt this hehe also about your hair not holding the scent, are you fumigating it properly? when i was a kid, my nani used to do it for me in a wooden thingy and i use it to this day, but also when i first tried it by myself i simply crumbled the bakhoor cube and lit it before extinguishing it and the smell was more burnt than fragnant and didnt last at all. i asked my nani after that and she said that it could be bcuz the way i did it makes it burn unevenly.

the "correct" way to do it would be to light a coal until it gets a layer of grey ash, placing it on a layer of salt or sand as a heat carrier and then placing the bakhoor/oud on top so it burns evenly and gives you a longer burn/smoke span. but a lot of people do it differently too, this is just what works for me, maybe give this a shot if youre not burning it this way already? my shampoo is scented too but it still manages to hold the scent for a good few hours.
