him.
euphoria, endless euphoria. it bursts when his hands make contact with my skin. i explode when his lips collide with mine. his summer eyes melting into my autumn ones. once his hands land on my thighs, i collapse into endless euphoria, euphoria.

Golden Tree.
leaves that would glow golden with the sun. abandoned by Apollo’s Glory. the last light in the forest, doomed to rot. longing for love.

Vegetarian Journey
I haven’t posted on here in a while, but I wanted to share something that I’ve been trying to do the past 23 days. As you can tell from the title, yes I am now vegetarian, or I have been for the past three weeks. It has been actually very fun and satisfying. As a person who wasn’t a big meat eater before, it was fairly easy for me to cut it out of my diet. So much so, that really the only thing I will miss is chicken nuggets, which isn’t even good meat??
As a child, my diet wasn’t the best, because I was not given “good” meals, so making the switch was difficult in the fact that I was a picky eater, not very happy about the vegetables part in vegetarian... which is ironic. It did teach me a lot about my habits as an eater, though. I eat out ALOT. This wasn’t a surprise, but when you’re in college, you basically eat whatever is available, so having to say no to a cheap ten nugget meal was hard for the first two weeks. I was also transitioning from eating almost no fiber, to lots of it, so my bowels were all out of wack.
Now on my fourth week, I am so happy I made the switch. Yesterday was a tough day because there weren’t many options for my meals since I needed groceries. I had a lot of carbs yesterday and not a lot of protein, which made me feel heavy, but this morning I made a fresh start with a smoothie bowl, made from scratch (thanks to Pinterest).
Overall, there are some misconceptions about becoming vegetarian. 1. It’s not hard once you stop craving meat. 2. It’s actually not hard to find substitutes for meat. I often eat eggs/fish since I am technically pescatarian... 3. You can eat so much fruit! 4. I am learning to try new things!
And something that I must say on this post... do not ask us where we get our protein, or if we miss meat. And especially don’t freak out if you don’t know what to make for us. Just ASK!

Had a ton of fun exploring all around Sintra, especially Quinta da Regaleira.
