first half of dance dance danseur ep 10 was perhaps not very interesting, but like super duper necessary so I still respect it, and the second half was a whole bunch of messy emotions flaring up in big ways at a unique setting and it was dope as hell. Excited for the conclusion, genuinely hoping for a second season as well. What a turnaround for this show lol.

Cue episode 22 was interesting because I’ve seen quite a good chunk of idol anime and quite a lot of them are shit, right. But as a general rule even when the songs aren’t that great, most of what I’ve seen are pretty good at actual idol performances? Nice dance choreography, good camerawork, all that shit. But this episode just didn’t have that at all lol. The idol performance was like 4 or 5 minutes long and was just boring lol. Wild. Oh well, the anime adaptation announcement at the end was still sweet. Next episode is called “Final Episode” which is haha funny bc it’s actually not the last episode ;)

Niji s2ep11 woo. Bit of a slower one, focusing more on moments of quiet honesty between the characters and all - Shioriko and Setsuna talking about student council presidency, the third years finally acknowledging their upcoming graduation, R3BIRTH girls sharing their thanks with the club for helping them and all - it’s some really nice stuff. Episode also fucked with me bc it revealed that the girls aren’t an “official” club which is wild lol. Also they’re still not aiming for Love Live which is like cool and different and I respect it in Niji, they’re happy enough just being able to sing and dance and stand on stage together, it’s sweet.

One thing I would call a slight worry though is that I’m half worried we won’t get a R3BIRTH performance at this rate, or at least not a new song with them? Episode preview didn’t suggest as such for next week anyway. Meanwhile the last episode will presumably tackle Nijigasaki’s First Live that they decided to do this episode, and they’ll do solo lives and unit lives and full group lives. That’d realistically be the best chance to debut R3BIRTH in the anime, but I’m expecting a new full group song for sure, and I’m not sure if it’s realistic to expect a new R3BIRTH song at the same time. Obviously it’s not like essential that this happens but idk it’d be a big missed opportunity if not. We’ll see I suppose. Realistically 2 new songs in one episode could still happen and that’d be badass as fuck, so *shrug*
