Another beautiful Sunday in the books here in NY. This 70* weather in November feels like such a treat. I’m enjoying every second that we’re able to spend time outdoors and keep the windows open.
We headed over to the marina so that B could air out the boat - unbeknownst to us, we had like 6-8” of water sitting in the boat because of a rain storm and the drains getting clogged with leaves. 🙃 Winterizing continues. Since the boat’s now out of the water, neither of us were comfortable with me being so round and climbing a ladder, so I just walked around and enjoyed the fresh air while B did the heavy lifting.
A few people have been like “wait, you have a boat?!” And I have barely talked about it this season because we’ve had engine issues, haven’t used it nearly as much as we normally would like to, and the pregnancy also had something to do with it for sure. Maybe next season. Or the one after. But yeah, there she is. The one with the red bottom. It’s a 36’ 1979 Lancer sailboat. Her name is Lucky Dollar. She sleeps 6 and has a bathroom (“head”) and kitchen (“galley”) below deck. Here’s a few shots of her actually in the water from last season:
Sunday evening ended with firing up the grill and sitting by the fire pit. We cooked up some baked potatoes and filet mignon. I also baked some brownies and finally got to have my brownie with ice cream. And it was everything I dreamed it would be. I’ll have to photograph the next one I have.. which no doubt will be tonight. 😁
