Terribile 😢😢 #Repost @fotografie_della_storia with @get_repost ・・・ Cosa stavate facendo quell'11 settembre? Scommetto che tutti se lo ricordano. #lefotografiechehannofattolastoria #twintowers #11september #groundzero #badmemories #inmemories https://www.instagram.com/p/CE_KldaqfNg/?igshid=bxfpjvnt2k2e

9/11. A day not easily forgotten for those of us who lived through it. For many of us, it was the reason to locate and talk to a recruiter. Speaking of which, it’s wild to know that now, we have people joining the military to fight in the war that started as a result of this day of terror; a day that they weren’t even alive to witness. A lot of us have our own reasons for serving, and some of us wanted to and couldn’t due to this fateful day. I wanted to since I was a little boy playing “Army” in my back yard with tangerines for grenades, and little toy guns, but this day made my decision firm. I grew up on war movies and this to me, was as close to a modern day Pearl Harbor as it could be. Just like all other Americans of the time, it infuriated me, the entire nation stood united. What saddens me most, is that this attack was the last time that Americans were truly united. We wanted revenge, we were proud that President Bush sought to attack, you name it. 9/12 was the most patriotic day in American history since Pearl Harbor and our victory in World War II. But that’s not the point of this post. The point of this post is to remember those innocent lives lost in Pennsylvania, in Washington, D.C., and in New York City on 9/11/2001, but also, the numerous lives that have been laid to rest in the Global War on Terror. The count of lives lost is consistently rising, and it’s all for nothing if this isn’t remembered. If you don’t feel they deserve a moment of silence in your day, especially on this day of all, you need to re-evaluate yourself. . #america #911 #91101 #9112001 #neverforget #nyc #twintowers #remember #war #gwot #reason #september112001 #11september #united #unitedstates #vet @brownellsinc @weaponsdaily @firearms @coltfirearms @aimpointusa @grey.wolf.tactical (at United States) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2RVYgNJcTb/?igshid=thtwyrim7b56
