ted ramey (sharks audio network): macklin and will, obviously, are coming into their own. do you ever have to temper any of their excitement, or do you just kind of pull back? the thing that I know, coach, is that they’re smiling, they’re having fun on the bench, and I—I know you’ve got to want your guys locked in, but I do think there’s an aspect of players, you know, when they’re having fun—it’s probably a good thing.
head coach ryan warsofsky: yeah, absolutely. I mean, you want to be loose and have fun and enjoy coming to the rink, and enjoy each other, and enjoy trying to get better—individually and collectively. these two guys have gotten better since day one. they continue to grow—at different levels and in different ways, but, um, super coachable. […] I want them to have fun and enjoy each other. when it’s time to work, we work. when it’s time to have fun, we have some fun.
