remember the night 

we fell in love

i was throwing 

the weirdest tantrums ever 

just because my family 

and I missed the midnight dinner

You were with your family as well

but you are happily 

celebrating that night

I was so lonely 

and I felt alone that time

You were angry at me

because I did something

Just the best night for me

sarcastically 

then you told me 

“Okay lang ‘yan. Andito naman ako”

Well as a mature being that I am ,

I remained pissed

we talked all night 

we shared stories

then I dropped the question

“Tayo na ba?”

because things are going serious between us. 

“Oo.” you replied

Shocked and out of amazement of what I just heard

I called you to confirm what you’ve said

“Oo nga sabi ang kulit hahaha”

You made me the happiest that night

literally

I promised you 

that I will love you even more 

and will take care of you

no matter what

but just like fairy tales 

No matter how beautiful we are. 

We must end.

so here I am

taking care of you and thinking of you 

We went through rough times 

and this time there is no way up 

this time all I am thinking of is

 “How can I hurt you less?”

You are crying. 

We are screaming at each other

but I wasn’t sure because 

we only talked that night thru chat

I don’t want to hear your voice changing

The last thing I wanted to hear.

So I manned up , if that is even a word

so it's Christmas.

when I was a little kid, I loved Christmas. It was seriously the best thing on the planet for me. But now I'm older, & I'm at a confusing stage of my life, so Christmas isn't quite the same. It's still beautiful, & I love being with my family, & I gave & received meaningful & sweet gifts, but it's not the same. I don't feel as *connected* this year. It's like it's gotten so... materialistic that everyone seems to overlook the family time. Instead of sitting down for a chat, we sit down to play on the brand new Wii or watch a brand new movie. I'm not saying I'm not like that, too, sometimes. Still, it's just not the same. Will it ever be?
