"I remember in One Direction we used to have like pre-stage rituals. I think ours was the most stupid things where we used to make Harry say... The words were 'Let's do this s***', which is the swear word we obviously can't say, and then we'd be like 'Can you say it in the style of my friend's goldfish?' and then he'd have to try and do an impression of my friend's goldfish. It kind of calmed the nerves before everyone went on stage. It'd be anything. (...) It could be anything like maybe 'Say it in the style of JayDee Dyer' and then he'd have to try and say it like you'd say it. And that's how it'd be very week!"

"I'll tell you a little story about how we wrote one of our songs which you might not have heard before. We're sat in a room and we 're struggling through melodies for this song. It was really really late in the day and this song actually became the title track of the 3rd or 4th album called Midnight Memories. And somebody walked into the room and the song originally started off with, this is how easy it can go sometimes, somebody walked through the door with a big bag of KFC. I literally stood up in the room and went 'I love KFC oh oh ohhhh' and then we literally sung a song about chicken for 2 and a half hours. This is on the internet, by the way, you can YouTube this. Then we changed the lyrics to 'Midnight Memories' and toured the world with it for 3 years! That's no lie. That's on the internet if you don't believe me!"
