What is your opinion on the lgbt ships in amphibia (olivia x yunan), sasha being canonically bisexual in the last episode and whats you opinion on the owl house?
If you read my blog, you pretty much know the answers already. In case you don't:
Even if it weren't absolutely disgusting, there's no build up to it at all. So it just feels like they put it in there just to make someone gay and satisfy the horrifying gay agenda.
Ditto.
I watched the first episode with an open mind because it was a favorite among the Gravity Falls fandom. I didn't like it because I felt like I couldn't relate to any of the characters and it made me uncomfortable because I don't like the concept of witches. Then I met someone who liked it and encouraged me to give it another shot because apparently the first episode is the worst. But the next episode turned the show very very gay, so I went "My intuition proved right again!"
(I say "again" referring to Steven Universe. In that case, I watched until well into season 2 without being able to really get into it. Only then did I find out that it supposedly "gets good" at the end of season 1. This, coupled with my own experience with the fandom being similar to that of that one artist who tried to draw Rose, led me to quit the show. I later found out that it was very gay and decided to never come back.)
Weekly Report, Week 11
-1,300 posts! (edit actually 1,3004th, cuz, well, read the tags)
-Yes, I’m still excited about this.
-Also, new followers! (granted, some of ‘em were pornbots, I think).
-OK, so I’m clearly getting more mileage out of reblogs than original content, which is a bit of a bummer.
-Granted, it’s cuz I now do more belonging than original content, the numbers of which have been dismal lately, for which I apologize. In my defense, I’m a lazy bum.
-The really irritating thing is I do have stuff written up in various places that I can just repost,
-I am making progress with the liketo-reblogs ratio, though.
-Though I gotta work on my actually adding stuff to reblogs.
Let’s Go Back to the Beginning
to see how The Wine Show was born. How it was financed, long before Matthew Goode and Matthew Rhys joined the show, and got picked up by ITV in the UK. It is truly a ‘bubbly’ inspiration!
“making The Wine Show was a lot more like making a wine than making a TV programme. It wasn’t commissioned. Wine shows never are...But wines aren’t commissioned either. You don’t go to a retailer and ask for £2 million to make a wine on the back of a good idea. You raise money. You hire talent. You create a business. You make a wine and you sell it.” - Joe Fattorini

Whenever I listen to”Alexander Hamilton” and the line “Alex got better but his mother went quick” comes up, I can’t help but think, “that is why it’s important to eat the unicorn hairs in your soup”.
@tlynnwords tagged me to answer these questions on Sunday but I’m such a horrible person I forgot! Sorry! :D Here you go:
Rules: 1. Always post the rules. 2. Answer the questions. 3. Write 11 new questions. 4. Tag 11 people.
1. What are a few things on your “bucket list”?
A few? Well, right now one is saving money for a trip to New York in June. As for travelling in general, I want to go to Hawaii and Lapland. Also changing my wardrobe because I’m still stuck to the style I had in high school.
2. What are some of your favorite fictional characters (books, tv, movies)?
Killian Jones, Emma Swan, Wolverine (first three X-Men films), Kakashi Hatake, Gregory House, Sherlock Holmes (from BBC Sherlock), etc, etc. Every time I’ll remember a different one, though I guess Killian Jones will always have a spot in those answers.
3. What are some of your favorite fictional friendships and/or platonic relationships?
Gold vs Hook (FoeTP), Daddy Charming and Emma, Emma and Henry, Sherlock and Moriarty (FoeTP again, from BBC Sherlock), Margaery Tyrell and Sansa Stark, Victor and Emily from Corpse Bride, Vianne and Anouk from Chocolat, Shuya, Noriko and Shogo from Battle Royale, Forrest Gump and Lieutenant Dan, Jim Hawkins and John Silver from Treasure Planet, and some others I probably forget.
4. What are some of your favorite fictional romantic relationships? (canon or fanon)
I was hoping someone would ask me that without meaning OTPs or shipping! Because I have liked many romances without actually shipping them, so here I go: Sakura and Shaoran from Card Captor Sakura, House and Cuddy from House M.D., Lyra and Will from His Dark Materials Trilogy, Man and Blind Woman from Charlie Chaplin’s City Lights, Christian and Satine from Moulin Rouge!, Dodge and Penny from Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Benjamin and Daisy from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and I’m sure I’m forgetting more. And of course Emma and Hook.
5. If you could travel/ have traveled anywhere in the world (without regard to cost), where would you go?
Everywhere. From Finland to Argentina, from Japan to South Africa, from New York to Hawaii, from Peru to Mongolia, everywhere. Give me money and I’ll go.
6. What scenes from OUAT make you ‘feel the feels’ the most?
So, so many. Mostly Gold vs Hook scenes, Captain Swan, Swan Believer and Daddy Charming scenes.
7. What show would you love to have continued longer than it did? What show would you love to have ended sooner than it did?
The 4400 was amazing. Its plot was superb, the ideas were fantastic but the show didn’t last more than 43 episodes. It had a good “end”, it didn’t stop abruptly, but I wish there had been more, it had the potential to keep on. As for the second question, pretty much every other show I’ve given up: Desperate Housewives, House M.D., Grey’s Anatomy, Heroes, Prison Break... I lost interest after a few seasons and I wished they hadn’t gone that deep and add so many things, or change so many things.
8. If you could have three wishes, what would they be?
All magic comes with a price, dearie :). I would ask for people to become more generous the more they have, but that is against free will, as is World Peace, unfortunately. But if I go silly, I would wish for red hair, a second (and a third, maybe) mother language and photographic memory. Maybe I would also wish for mosquitoes to freaking stop biting me it’s freaking October
9. What people (living or dead) would you invite to a tea party? And what would your topics of conversation be?
I would invite Adam and Eddy too because they managed to hook me up on a show on its fifth season, and I have SO many questions regarding the way they write the show, the characters, the relationships...
As for dead, pretty much every musician of any time; ancient times, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, 17th and 18th century, because there are so many things we don’t know about because we have so few resources. We can speculate, but we can’t know for sure how music at that times was actually performed or heard. I would have been excited to see someone hear their music performed by modern musicians. Also Anne Frank.
10. Salty, sweet, savory, carb-y: what snacks do you go for/ crave? OR what is a dish that you are really good at cooking/baking?
Sweet and carb-y. Give me all the chocolate damn. And I can barely cook. I usually have pasta with pre-made sauce, or take-out, unless I’m at home and my mother cooks her delicious dishes. But I do make great desserts when there’s time/space/equipment/people to eat them. I’ve been making birthday cakes for myself since I was 15.
11. What is your favorite thing that has happened on OUAT? What is something that has not happened that you are hoping to see?
All the twists. It’s always interesting to see how different the stories we knew can be and still have the same quality and feeling. And I have to confess that I believe one of the reasons I love Hook on OUAT so much is because he’s so different than Disney’s Hook, whose treatment I hated.
The Little Match Girl has been one of my all-time favourite fairy tales, and I would love to see it on OUAT! Also there is a children’s book called The Quiltmaker's Gift by Jeff Brumbeau, that is one of my favourite stories. It has such a deep meaning I didn’t understand easily when I first read it as a child, but it grew slowly on me and I believe it’s a story with a great message to pass on.
I would say that I’d leave the tag open for everyone who wants to do that, but every time I do that I think no-one does it. So I tag with the same questions because they’re actually pretty interesting:
@jollysailorswan, @hook-on-fandoms, @timetravelingpotatoast, @seethelovelyintheworld, @thisisevenharderthannamingablog, @mryddinwilt, @scapeartist, @stunningcaptainswan (second tag eh :D), @pirate-owl and @villains-happy-ending
All of these "Who I mained" images I keep on seeing made me go back to Sm4sh 3DS and try out new characters. Thanks, memes.
