Okay. So. Yesterday, a coworker of mine asked what the difference is between Sebastian and the Grim Reapers from Kuroshitsuji. And I feel like talking about it here too now, so just scroll if you’re not interested/familiar with this fandom :3

Eyes

-First thing that we notice with Sebastian (who, by the way, is the only demon that we’ve met so far. Yes. There was Claude, Hannah, and the triplets, but they are not canon to the story, and only appeared in S2!) is his eyes

Normally, they’re amber. In the earlier episodes, they appeared almost a reddish-brown

Only when he’s acting out on Ciel’s command or seriously pissed off will they turn red with cat-like pupils. Note that he’s wearing glasses in one of those pictures. It’s only for the aesthetic… He doesn’t actually need them

All of the Grim Reapers have two-toned irises, and are severely near sighted, thus, they wear spectacles. The only exception to wearing glasses is Undertaker A.K.A Grim Reaper #136649 who is a deserter, and had to disguise himself :]

Immortality/Strength

Sebastian’s strength is likely on par with the Grim Reapers. If not, he may be slightly weaker… It had been shown in Book of the Atlantic that a blow from Undertaker’s Death Scythe didn’t kill him, but he was severely injured, and Ciel even commented that he had never seen him like this before giving him the order to get some rest once they got back to London

Origin

Sebastian is a demon. Plain and simple as that. Grim Reapers are essentially like vampires where they had to die to transform. Not by natural causes or someone killing them, though. No, no, no… They uh- committed ✨jisatsu✨</3

Fangs

Grell and Undertaker are the only Grim Reapers shown to have fangs, though Grell’s are more shark-like in appearance while Undertaker’s are like a smaller version of Sebastian’s

Do u have any ideas or theories about what ut found out about the higher ups or idk what exactly that made him go vague suddenly, destroy half of the headquarters and desert? He basically gave up the chance of getting redemption and now he is going against God by defying the rules of death and life by inventing bizarre dolls..
