i wonder what undertaker thinks about r!ciel’s situation now. we see multiple times that r!ciel needs blood transfusions at different moments throughout the day in order to function. on one hand, if he loves the phantomhives so much that he is willing to stand up and fight a demon in their defense, then such a mere existence shouldn’t be enough for him, and he should strive for r!ciel to be able to function without relying on him.

but on the other hand—doesn’t it give him some kind of satisfaction? the fact that one of the phantomhives, whom he cannot afford to lose, depends on him so much? that he cannot survive without him? that at this point, even if he wanted to, he wouldn’t be able to leave him?

But do you think undertaker planning to get rciel soul back , we know that sebastian devourted him and he's neither in heaven nor hell like layla , modri, doll( can't forgive her haters meanwhile she's not aware of what her body is doing) and it's imposible for him to steal those souls

I mean it's the best explanation of why he isolate ociel and make him an enemy to the state

it took me a while to reply because i had to dig up the post i made about this on my old account, and i finally found it, so i’ve reposted it here.

i think placing a soul into a doll is its final form. the matter in question is whether that soul would be artificially grown, belong to another person, or is its own. so i’m convinced that this is exactly what undertaker plans to do with r!ciel so that he can function completely independently.

however, as i explain in that post, there is no evidence that sebastian has actually consumed r!ciel’s soul. so i think that for undertaker, attempting to isolate o!ciel from sebastian and even harming/killing sebastian serves both brothers—o!ciel, because his soul won’t be devoured, and r!ciel, because his soul would then be freed.

Do you think that undertaker is an irish and he create bizarre dolls just to support the irish resistance against the british in case they invade them? Like he hates the quinn, the quinn and society view the irish as a rat in that time , vincent redaing finnian cycle( irish story ) to his kids, not to mention the famine that she caused and it will be stupid if yana didn't mention it , and finally if I am correct his store location is in east end ( many irish like joker and beast born there)

is he irish? maybe, i’ve never really thought about it. vincent reading the finnan cycle is an interesting clue, but i don’t think that’s where his hatred of the queen comes from, because it feels personal rather than aimed at the british as a whole or the monarchy in general. it makes more sense to me that he dislikes the queen because of the phantomhives being used as watchdogs overall, or because of a more direct, personal involvement in hurting one of them, considering he's obsessed with them.

but we also have to consider the timeline. undertaker deserted roughly 70 years earlier, around 1820, before queen victoria’s reign. we don’t know how long he was a grim reaper, but he had an impeccable reputation in his job, so we’re probably talking decades, if not centuries of experience. so there’s a high chance that when he was alive, ireland wasn’t even part of the united kingdom yet, which could also feed into his dislike, given centuries of growing conflict.

that said, it still feels too minor to be the actual core reason from a storytelling perspective. i do wonder if he might be cooperating with the french side in some way to act against the queen. not necessarily that he is french, but that his personal vendetta led him to seek allies among his enemy’s enemies.

i know there’s a theory that he’s japanese because he carries japanese wooden grave markers. maybe, maybe not. it could also just be symbolic or personal. in general, i’ve never really tried to dig into what nationality undertaker might be, because we might never actually find out, especially if it’s not important to the plot.
