More journaling. Today was vday, had a nice enough time although there was some melancholy after our dinner which I think was brought on by alcohol consumption. Everything just started to feel a bit pointless. I had spent so long getting dolled up but the make up felt stiff on my face after two cocktails. I couldn't stop thinking about the practical things I needed to do, in particular a grocery home delivery redelivery attempt right in the middle of the day, which meant I needed to head some and not be late. I've had tummy trouble so it wasn't the most comfortable day although this sure beats the hell out of last valentines day, the day before abdominal surgery when I was too sick and sad and scared to do anything! I've been able to enjoy myself today and relax for the most part. Once again I feel like I need to avoid alcohol just generally... only ever seems to lead to tummy trouble in the next few days, is expensive, and gives me headaches and moodiness. Just a shame its so socially popular
