i managed to get both cole and nick on my fantasy team so i've gone down the suzufield rabbit hole (again) and i'm actually losing my mind (again) over how the habs market these two together off-ice
"funniest moments" ship compilation on the official youtube account complete with sparkly pink heart transition graphics. sending them on touristy city dates for content. and on golf dates (multiple golf dates!). having them domestically cook dinner together so they can film a video where they awkwardly explain the rules of hockey. posting ship edits of them on the official tiktok account. asking nick to film this insane video where he looks longingly at cole's picture during the all-star break, which he seemed very game to do.

Sometimes Nick couldn't help but get jealous that Cole was getting to enjoy the bachelor life again. He was able to spend so much more time with the boys, no one at home waiting and expecting him after a big win when everyone wanted to go out and celebrate. Cole didn't have to worry about the casual affection between teammates getting read as some more—the jealousy and fights. Being married was wonderful, but sometimes Nick wondered if growing up had been worth it.
If he was being honest with himself, Nick mostly just missed Cole.
