In s4 they defeat Vecna. Steve likes Eddie more than he likes him, but Steve doesn't realize it. The group all get together often and Steve gravitates toward Eddie. Eddie isn't mean about not liking him back as much in fact he continues to be really flirtatious, which Steve gleefully basks in and really drives home that he has a chance.
