Rarity wishes you a happy French National Day!
Every year, on July 14, the French celebrate the french national holiday (often referred to as "Bastille Day"). Since France and Germany are politically and culturally very close and their relationship has never been better, I thought it'd be a great way to show my appreciation with a drawing of the most francophile character in My Little Pony: Rarity. Bastille Day celebrates the storming of the Bastille, an important fortress and prison, in 1789. That event was a pivotal event at the beginning of the French Revolution and the battle against the monarchy in Europe.
