Rarity wishes you a happy French National Day!

Every year, on July 14, the French celebrate the french national holiday (often referred to as "Bastille Day"). Since France and Germany are politically and culturally very close and their relationship has never been better, I thought it'd be a great way to show my appreciation with a drawing of the most francophile character in My Little Pony: Rarity. Bastille Day celebrates the storming of the Bastille, an important fortress and prison, in 1789. That event was a pivotal event at the beginning of the French Revolution and the battle against the monarchy in Europe.

First Order Stormtrooper

I'm really excited for Star Wars VIII and I just love the First Order troopers and the design of their armour. I'll certainly make some more Star Wars drawings in the future.

Sweet Pain

The inspiration for this drawing was "Hold Ya Head - feat. Bob Marley" by The Notorious B.I.G. which is the nineteenth track on the album "Duets: The Final Chapter" which was released in 2005, eight years after Biggie's death. "Hold Ya Head" is a much darker remix of the Biggie song "Suicidal Thoughts". The hook is a sample of "Johnny Was" by Bob Marley. I advise you download the drawing, open it in fullscreen and listen to the song while looking at the picture and really taking both the song and the drawing in.

I'm usually a very slow artist and simple sketches often take me way to long but I actually finished this drawing in only 1 hour and about 20 minutes. Of course I'm not happy about everything and maybe a bit more time spent with details and forms would've been good but in my opinion traditional style is a lot about perfect imperfections.

Simple Derpy

I wanted to try a more simple artstyle so I made this in a couple of hours. I was unsure which pony to choose but I decided to draw Derpy since I had never drawn wings before and I definetly wanted to try that and because there is an alarming lack of Derpy in my portfolio.

Relaxed Pinkie Pie with guitar

I got this idea after watching S07E09 "Honest Apple", in which Pinkie appears sitting on the stairs of Sugarcube Corner with a guitar.

In this drawing I tried cell shading, which basically is when there are hard edges instead of transitions between the dark shading tones. It takes a lot less time and is more simplistic. I think I'll definetly use it in some other drawings as well. Because of the general simplicity and the lack of a background, this drawing took me only two days. I posted a WIP on twitter yesterday.

Trixie on an adventure in the desert

I personally like the idea of Trixie having a relapse and searching for the alicorn amulet in an effort to defeat Twilight once and for all (but of course she'll be turned to the light side of friendship by Starlight in the end). :D Trixie is a cutie btw

Fanart for RarityDash

Congratulations to RarityDash for reaching 30.000 subscribers! 

This is my first drawing where the lines are colored instead of just comic-style black. Although the blur creates a really nice effect of depth, it's always sad to loose the details you worked so much for. But that's one aspect of being an artist. The outcome of the drawing has to always be the top priority. However if you're interested in seeing the unblurred version, click here.

Finished YCH for Babo0om

This was my first YCH (but definitely not my last ^^) and I really enjoyed drawing it.

Rarity enjoying a hot chocolate at the fireplace

I wanted to give it a warm Christmas feeling and I think that worked out pretty good.

Whether Rarity would pair a blue scarf with red and green is open to dispute.   Although this is probably the drawing I worked the longest on (around 11h), I was able to finish it on one day. I didn't do anything else but who needs friends or sleep anyway.

Christmas Pinkie Pie

I decided I need a new profile pic. And since it's December and everyone is already in Christmas mood, I thought something Christmas related was perfect.

So I combined a Christmas hat with the best pony Pinkie Pie and something really cute happened.

OC and Fluttershy go for a walk in the forest

So 16 days ago BIO675 wrote me, asking me whether I do requests and after I answered him he requested this drawing of his OC and Fluttershy walking in a forest. His OC is a chimera. One is a female moose, one is a female cougar and one is a female diamondback rattlesnake.

That was over two weeks ago but I actually only worked on the drawing for three to four days total because I had annoying school stuff and learning to do.

I really enjoyed drawing this and I even got to try some new drawing techniques.  :)
