You okay?

In my opinion, the bigger proof that garvez is endgame and that they will be canon also on the screen, is the changing, or even better, the "evolution" of Penelope reaction to Luke asking her "you okay". I already mentioned it in my analysis of 16x10, but I will make a deeper evaluation. Luke asked Penelope about how is she: two times in episode 12x17, one in 13x3 (but like a joke, so I will not consider it), one in 14x3, one in 15x4 (even if in a different way), one in 16x1, one in 16x10.

Luke stared at Pen crying for while, before coming in, and took another second before talking. He asked her just "Hey, you okay?". Penelope turned to him and turned her back so fast, clearly scared to see Luke in her place, while she was doing... something that can be most intimate than make love. She just said "Oh my God, oh my God". Then she wiped the tears and added "Yes. I'm... I'm fine". It was a lie. A white lie, but still. Luke knew it, so replied "Well, you don't seem fine". So she turned again, stood up, walked closer (but not enough, in his opinion) to him and said "Look. Really really really. I'm okay. Just go away, please?". Her voice, the way she looked at him... puppy eyes. Luke was so disappointed. He almost turned, but then stopped, shook his head, still looking at her, and closed the door. She was so surprised. Then he said "I know I may not be the someone you want to talk to, but I can't walk away with you like this.". She turned again, so he kept talking "Hey, I know you went to visit Reid. Is that what this is about?". Penelope finally answered him, shared her fears...

After the case, Luke went to Penelope office. He had something for her. Even in this occasion, he looked at her for a while, like he was contemplating, admiring her. He said "hey" and she replied "hey", then turned and noticed, realized that it was Luke. She asked him about Vermont, a stupid thing like his "I made Lasagna". Luke gave her the antistress, she smiled, a big big smile, he looked at her like he was hypnotized, like someone in love. Then he asked her "How are you doing?". Penelope seemed... surprised, confused. She replied "Go... good", not looking at him. Then Luke started his speech that became a declaration (If I ever do become).

Luke went to Pen office for asking her a copy of the video where they saw the murder of one of the victims. Penelope replied that he didn't need to watch, she already did, many times. He asked exactly how many times, she replied "enough times" and then he asked her "Are you okay? You never really look at...", but she diminished the whole thing (the fact he knew perfectly the effect of this kind of stuff has on her), especially said that "no one has times for my sensitivities". But in fact was a lie, because there was (and still is) someone that always wanted to take care of her sensitivity. Luke.

Luke joined Penelope, that was trying to find something about Elizabeth stalker. She was so anxious, nervous, gasped and typed so fast. Luke watched at her, worried, took a second (as always) and then stopped her, saying "Hey". She looked at him so terrified. Luke this time didn't just ask her how she is. He used another way that had the same meaning. "Stop for a second. I know you take our cases personally, ok, but not like this. Want to talk about it?”. She never came to him in difficult times, but he still wanted to be the someone, and in this occasion he decided to act like it. He knew she needed to talk, that there was something in store. He wanted to know the reason why she was so upset, but also wanted to make her feel better. And Penelope told him not only about her own stalker, but also something that she never told anyone.

Penelope just closed the call with JJ and Rossi. Luke was, as always, worried for her, so he asked her "You okay?". She replied, with an angry tone "Yes. I'm fine". He thought that her reaction depended on the fact they all said to respect her decision to leave the BAU, but she replied that wasn't about it, then started to talk about Rossi.

After Bayley funeral, Luke and Penelope were aside. He poured for her and himself two glasses of wine. Her thanks was a smile. Luke asked her "How are you doing?". She looked at him for almost a second, then, still with her not happy smile, said "Mmm". She thought about her answer. For once, for the first time, she really wondered his question. And she said just the truth. "I'm... mad, and I'm sad and I... Oh. I fell into patterns that I promised myself I wouldn't fall back into, but I did.". She totally opened with him. Soft voice and sad smile.

The evolution of Penelope reaction is clear: at the beginning she replied with a white lie, she didn't want his help, she considered him as an intruder (12x17). And even after their bond became stronger, she still didn't want to share her vulnerability with him, preferred to diminuished all and avoid his efforts (14x3). After years, she still tried to escape his attempt to help her, make her open up, then, she given up, but seemed not happy for it (15x4). It took a while to understand the value of what Luke made for her (and she thanked him for Elizabeth, not for herself). Again, after other years and even a (supposed) romantic date, she changed the subject, when Luke showed his concern (16x1). Then, after a lot of bad things, all together, she spontaneously opened up with him, because she finally let herself go with him (16x10). Without a "supposed and so not present" girlfriend like a barrier between them. When Tyler was hurt Luke was so good, so honest, that she had to do the same. And it's not a case that she finally answered him with only the truth after the "me and you" thing. This is a so important step, for Penelope. Maybe it's even most important that a first kiss. Because she never let someone in, never wanted the help of other, not even Morgan's. And Luke was the Newbie. But also so stubborn. So...

Get in My Head: Coda 14x3

When Dean said it, it was out of desperation. He was a fierce protector of his privacy, of the secret longings that he never had time for. The world was always ending, and at least one of them was always making some dire sacrifice. It was never the time to spill secrets, and this moment wasn't even about that. It was about Michael.

But the moment that Cas touched him, the moment that their eyes locked afterwards, Dean knew what was revealed. He thought that he'd buried it deep enough, but there wouldn't be a place deep enough to hide this not if they wanted to be sure that Micheal was really gone.

A lot was said. Cas confirmed that Dean was the master of his own ship, sort of. The world felt like it was tipping over--a giant ship listing then finally sinking into the icy depths. Dean tugged at his collar and made his way back toward his room. Sam followed him.

Dean wasn't in the mood. Talking to Sam would lead to talking about feelings, fear, anger, and the other stuff. Dean decided that it would just be easier to escape for a moment, put a closed door between them then dive into a hunt or something.

Dean had just long enough to close the door and lean against his desk. He was pressing his palms into his eyes, when a tiny knock came through his door. Then the door was opening, "Dean," Cas said as he stepped in, closing the door behind him.

"You got the memo that I need to rest right?" Dean came out of the lean and moved toward his bed, then seemed to think better of it.

"I just," Cas began, then seemed to give up. "Never mind. I can talk with you later." He turned back to the door.

Dean stopped him with a hand to his shoulder. He should have let Cas go, but that act ran counter to every real desire coursing through him. "Don't go. I'm sorry. My head is a mess, I just," Dean realized that he had no end for that sentence that wasn't revealing the real problem, so he said instead, "What do you want to talk about?" Then Dean took a seat on the edge of his bed.

Cas paced a little, then came to the bed and sat at his side. "I'm very glad you are back with us."

"I'm glad to be back." As beginnings go, it was weak.

Cas glanced at him then back at the wall, the very boring grey wall. This seemed bad. Dean wondered if he should fix this, talk about how brains went down all sorts of weird paths and that those paths were not important, yada, yada, yada.

"I felt every day that you were gone, like a knife continually cutting away some part of me that was essential for survival." Cas finally looked back at him, eyes pools of endless blue, and Dean felt like falling into him, letting it all go.

Instead, Dean apologized, "Sorry Cas."

"Some day, I hope, the world won't require the continual sacrifice of Winchesters." Cas took in a deep needless breath, and Dean memorized the bob of his throat, the rough edge of his jaw. "It will never be okay for me, if you are lost. You're too important."

"Yeah, I suppose the universe still wants me around for some purpose." Dean rolled his eyes.

"I'm sure it does, but that's not what I meant. You're too important to me." He reached over and took Dean's hand. "Your thoughts and mine," he said with a slight nod. "They are the same."

And then his arms were wrapped around Dean pulling him tight to his chest. It was the hug that Dean had craved from the moment he'd walked back into the bunker. He could still see Cas' eyes almost doling out big old tears again. "So, guess you saw some things in there?" Dean's words were spoken into the crook of Cas' neck.

"I'd been seeing it for years." He let Dean go a little to look at him. "I told myself for years to just be patient with you. You'd find the words when you were ready, but then Michael stole you from me and..."

Dean interrupted, "You got mad and needed to give me a piece of your mind." Dean smiled at him, and Cas' hand ran up to the back of Dean's neck where it lingered.

"No," Cas said as he leaned in closer. "I told myself that when we got you back, I'd tell you. I'd tell you everything. I'd be sure that you never went another day without knowing how much I love you Dean Winchester."

Dean leaned in past the last bit of space and kissed the words that still lingered on his lips. "I'm a mess, Cas."

"Aren't we all. I still love you." Cas stopped his next words with a kiss of his own. "And we'll figure out the rest, together, I promise." And Dean knew that, despite everything, Cas' word might be enough, might be right, and certainly felt like salvation. And Dean knew he needed that, needed it more than anything. Castiel pulled him closer, hand gripping his arm over the new scar, and Dean knew if anyone was up for saving him, it was Cas; it was always, always Cas.

Michael! How dare you!

I know there are going to be a lot of meta and stuff about this. But I just can’t ignore this! That ending. How Dean described being possessed! Can we also talk about Sam’s teary eyes? That scene was perfect!

On a side note! I really don’t want to see people comparing Sam, Castiel and Dean possession. Its clear everyone goes through a different experience. But Sam and Castiel were not  ‘drowning’ when they were shown in the bunker. (Gardreel possession-Sam and Lucifer possession-Castiel.) Gardeel and Lucifer made it clear they will not bother the vessel. And there is no reason for me to believe Lucifer would have hurt Sam before the cage. Not to mention we saw how Lucifer keeps his vessel through Castiel. So please don’t make this about Sam and Castiel. Every character was possessed differently. Thank you

Best Line 14x3

This was a Bobo episode. And Bobo’s baby was Wayward. And there is no way anyone can convince me that this line was not a reference to the fact that our most wanted spin-off did not get picked up. So many amazing ideas, so much great talent, and so little outside support.

This line hit me straight in the feels and that’s why it had to take the best line spot for 14x3, no doubt in my mind.
