Some people say raising a child is the most precious experience. I always wanted one, I still do.

Life has so many ways giving us lessons and today I realised the simplest thing. That life hasn't given me a child because I had to raise my own self.

Today I'm 14 years clean. 14 years ago heroin got into my system for the last time. I'm so very deeply grateful I came this long way. I may not be a mom but at the same time I am.

Life is not perfect but it's better than back then. And the hardest day now doesn't even compare to a day back then.

So yeah, just for today life is good and nothing can take that away from me.
