Aku Aku - A Crash Bandicoot Inspired cocktail
Aku Aku is Crash Bandicoot’s faithful companion. On the race track, or collecting mangos. This is a classic Mai Tai, with some changes. The addition of Pineapple juice, 151 proof Rum, Coconut Rum and a little pineapple juice make this a tropical paradise in a glass. This is one of my more complicated recipes, Tiki Cocktails tend to have a lot of ingredients.
2 oz Aged Rum 0.5 oz Grand Marnier 1 oz Coconut Rum 0.5 oz 151 Proof Rum 0.5 oz Simple Syrup 0.5 oz Orgeat Syrup 3 oz Pineapple Juice Juice of one Lime 2 Dashes Orange Bitters 0.5 Oz Grenadine Garnish Lime Wedge Mint Sprig Combine Aged Rum, Grand Marnier, Coconut Rum, Simple Syrup, Orgeat Syrup, Pineapple Juice and Orange Bitters into a mixing tin, Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Pour into a tall Tiki glass filled with ice. Sink Grenadine to the bottom, float 151 proof rum on the top.
