Happy Pokémon month!
30 years of Pokémon! Wow!
I have such distinct memories of when it started taking over primary schools in Australia and it becoming a huge sensation. Kids trading counterfeit cards, and watching the anime for the first time.
My job has reconnected me with the series and it’s been so fun talking to people about their faves and earliest memories with it. The gen 1 fire types will always be my favourite. Ninetales is part of my personal branding now with my friends haha, so I really wanted to do the BEST ninetales drawing I could to celebrate her.
I’m hoping to do more Pokémon art throughout the month but WE’LL SEE!
for the poketcgkanto redraw event!! i was lucky enough to snag mega charizard y for the event, and knew the moment that i read the rule stating that anyone with a mega evolution could redraw any other card involving the base evolution that i wanted to take a shot at redrawing the gorgeous 151 charizard by miki kudo! with a mega twist~
The Colors of: Scarlet & Violet 151
we’ll be alright as long as we’ve got each other
