Happy to report this reminded me of how fun it is to make typography art and paper puppets.I can definitely see myself revisiting some certain themes that are evident but brief in my little film.

Some creepy concept sketches i did before staring the stop motion project.i was already prepared to go down a more unsettling route with my visual language.Horror is something i cant just not add to all my projects
Behind the scene of the stop motion movie!! Some funky typography using magazines
Will be posting the storyboards /script for the story soon
A short stop motion of some moths having a merge ritual✨.Theyre made of recycled card and wax, and the spinning is inspired by traditional folklore dancing 💃
Heres me working out some form of character for the identity workshop. Most of the concept is inspired by dolls and porcelain puppets.
This was a new thing for me to play around with and to be frank, i loved every moment of it from going crazy with the reels to sending my first ever post mail ( how vintage). The final turned out better than expected and I even added sound i snipped from a favourite song of mine ( Melanie Martinez _ You love I).I enjoyed the overlapping effect of my personal digital art on-top on the film tapes and the distortion it created, it makes for a really unsettling viewing.Overall its something that has inspired some of my current work with the aesthetic and colours and hope to implement more in future projects. An improvement would be recording my own sounds rather than using existing ones, Im sure i could come up with some interesting sound effects.👀
Heres the 16mm film before editing sounds and the frames.
Post production highlight.Simply adore the old vibes of my puppets.A shame I didn’t get a chance to use the mushrooms but I’ll find a use for them in another project for sure
