Loki is tracking higher than both WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier ahead of its debut on Disney+ in a little under three months.
By Graeme Guttmann, 17th March 2021
Loki is on track to be Marvel's most popular Disney+ series when it premieres on the streamer in June. Tom Hiddleston's Loki quickly became one of the most popular MCU characters during Phase 1 of the series despite his villain status in Avengers. Loki may have died in Avengers: Infinity War, but Endgame gave the God of Mischief a new chance at life when the Avengers revisited the Battle of New York and he was able to escape with the Tesseract.
Little is know what's in store for Loki, but early trailers have hinted at the time jumping, universe hopping adventure that's about to unfold. Loki will run into the Time Variance Authority on his journey and looks to form an uneasy alliance with Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius. Gugu Mbatha-Raw will play another member of the Time Variance Authority in the series alongside Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, Richard E. Grant, and Sasha Lane in undisclosed roles.
All the mystery surrounding Loki apparently hasn't stopped it from being Marvel's most anticipated show. According to TV Time, Loki is currently tracking 67% higher than The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which is set to debut later this week. The Tom Hiddleston led series is still roughly three months out from being released. For comparison, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is tracking only 38% higher than WandaVision a week out from its release.
Loki being more anticipated than WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier not only shows the character's enduring popularity, but it also hints at interest in the series' plot. With Loki traveling through multiple timelines, the series might just be the MCU's biggest glimpse yet into the Multiverse that is set to break wide open sometime in Phase 4. With this angle, the possibilities for Loki are truly endless and Marvel fans have, unsurprisingly, began theorizing about what the show has in store and what the larger implications are for the rest of the franchise.
Hiddleston, too, looks to be in true God of Mischief form in early looks at the series. Loki's redemption arc from Thor: Ragnarok is no longer in play as Loki is back to who he was directly after the events of the first Avengers. A return to the true God of Mischief is an exciting prospect for fans and for the character's future in the MCU. With Loki hopping around the Multiverse, there's no telling who or what he could run into during the series' run and that is perhaps the most exciting part of all.

kun: there was this one day when i went out alone. i was strolling and walking around and suddenly got tired, so i found a stall selling fishcakes and got in line. suddenly, there were some girls behind me chatting. it was really cold, so one of the girls went "chu, chu, chu", then her friend went "chu, chu, chu, chu-chewing gum" and they started talking about how they liked nct/wayv's new songs like "new thangs! new thangs!" and i was standing right in front of them!
chenle: you should have turned around and said "ge will perform for you! i'll show you a live version!"
ten: "oh sorry, who are you?"
xiaojun: i have one too. i was working out and lifting weights. i got to the last few reps and was really tired, but it just happened to be that the music that came on (miming lifting weights) 'wuuaaaaa-- dANG DANG DANGDANGDANG" it was your song! deja vu!
ten: (kor) i was out getting coffee one time with my mask on and asked, "americano please!" and they were like, "oh, you look a lot like ten from nct's 90's love!" and i was like "...really? thanks!"
yangyang: i was in the elevator once. when i went in, the other person was watching the 90's love mv. i was just there, standing to the side. another person was like, "wow, super cool!" but the first person said "it's okay". and then i started jamming on the elevator buttons to go down and leave as fast as possible.
hendery: you all have stories, so i'll tell you one too. it’s related ten, i was in a music show building once and was really sleepy. i saw someone who looked a lot like ten and was just about to call out to him. "ten!" already came out, but he turned and it wasn't ten. so i just went, "ten! nine, eight, seven, six, fivefourthreetwoone!" and pretended to be singing.
