1792 Bourbon Full Proof
This year, this election, this week calls for a bourbon. So I’m going all in. This one smells super sweet on the nose - brown sugar, molasses, dark corn, gingerbread, and candied cinnamon notes. Very sweet on the palate at first with butterscotch, caramel, sweet cinnamon, and vanilla notes. Then the heat and alcohol hit so that the sweet cinnamon dessert notes turn to hotter cinnamon with oak notes. I would prefer to put some ice or water into this guy. I think it needs a bit of water to help open it up a bit and get all the flavors in the glass - without water, all the flavors just hit too hard.
