They look so harmless, don't they!
Looked as if butter wouldn’t melt in their mouths, but the citizens of former East Germany could kick up storms. At least they were responsible for two widespread uprisings against their government within 40 years. In the light of national reunification of Germany, the bloody events around June 17, 1953 almost fall into oblivion.
