I'm on the Shard and someone posted about how because you can transition when using Investiture to heal, theoretically you can change your ethnicity. I feel really weird about that because:

Changing your ethnicity and transitioning are Very Different things

User didn't specify what they meant by changing ethnicity whether it's just the look or also the cultural identity

If it's the former, that's kinda Yikes because y'know the erasure of the cultural identity that permeates the identity of an ideal member of an ethnicity and how ethnicity is more than just the genetic makeup

If it's the latter, where did the cultural identity came from? If an outsider change their ethnicity based on their experience with people of the intended ethnicity, I think the picture they have would be neither complete nor unbiased. Even in one ethnicity there is so much variety in experience that the complete picture is a mozaic of experiences that sometimes contradict each other and is way too complex to be used to heal into.

Am I being unreasonable? I just feel really squicked out as a woman of color.
