Recipe #98 - Oat Biscuits from The 1940s Experiment
These are a pretty standard biscuit recipe, except I used a reconstituted dried egg instead of a fresh egg, and oats are added along with the flower. I also threw in some currants, but a lot of them fell off during baking.
These are simple and satisfying and not too sweet. I am also learning - I made sure the oven was a little cooler and checked them frequently towards the end of cooking so I could rescue them before a bunch burned in the hot corner of the oven.
