Very sad that I can't talk about Megatron and Optimus prime as a ship with ppl IRL.
It's pride month. Everybody knows who they are but who is Optimus Prime's girlfriend?
You and I know it's Elita-One.... But they don't.
Stupid bichael-may couldn't bring himself to put female transformers in his movies, but I can't walk up to a person at the gas station and talk about the romantic subtext between Megatron and Optimus during pride month.
Smh
Can we just talk for a moment how fucking crazy death was in the original Transformers?? Like, there are several ways you can depict a robot dying and they went with “all the color drains from their body”. Like, I get that’s how dying works for (light skinned) people, but these are robots.
To really get into this, you need to understand something. Color drains from your body when you die primarily because your blood stops circulating and sinks to the lowest points it can. I’ve seen one thing say it’s also because your blood gets darker, but I don’t know if that’s right and don’t feel like looking it up. In any case, it’s because of blood. Light skinned people have blood, that blood makes us have color, when the blood goes away, no more color.
Transformers are made of metal, and I thought that metal was painted. But, when Optimus Prime loses all color after he dies in 1986’s The Transformers: The Movie, it becomes clear that the metal very much isn’t painted. So, do Transformers have blood? I mean, I know they run on energon, but… why is Optimus red in some places and blue in others? That just doesn’t make sense if it’s energon! Red and Blue are opposites, and original series energon is blue, so if it’s energon making the color then Optimus and all other Transformers should only have blues!
The Transformers wiki doesn’t answer this question, not really. It says what it is (aggressive depigmentation) and why it happens (death of the robot, basically) but it doesn’t say what is actually happening. I’ve found nothing that says why this happens. If someone could please do the internet thing and come up with a reason, or find some obscure statement about it by a show creator, that would be appreciated.
a sort of screencap draw from the 86′ film. Tiny Rumble carrying Megatron's big ass gun....is just really cute...

WAS NOBODY GOING TO TELL ME THAT WEIRD AL WAS IN THE OG TRANSFORMERS MOVIE????
You, who are without mercy, now beg for it? I thought you were made of sterner stuff.
Lots of really influential movies came out that year.
I still have my sheet set and pillow case. Not very well preserved but well loved.
