Robert Sugden: Christopher Smith (1997)
I CANNOT believe that you would do a thing like this...
Scene 1: Robert and Andy asking again about sweet money and Sarah again saying no it no matter what way Andy spins it. Andy then proceeds to look through Sarah’s purse for bills 🙄.
Sarah: You two always seem to have an answer for everything.
Andy: Well there’s easier ways.
Robert: You can’t do that!
Andy: There’s plenty in there. She might not even notice.
———-
Scene 2: Robert is not amused by Andy pulling the bill from Sarah’s bag and wants him to put it back. They scuffle. It’s not right to nick things (Robert), it’s not right to snitch either (Andy). Andy stops when Robert mentions they’ll send Andy back if he starts up with this. It was only a laugh, sureee Andy. Sarah comes back and sees Robert with the money and gives him a talking to. Andy fesses up but lies to Sarah for the reason, surprising Robert.
Sarah: Robert! What are you doing?
Sarah: I CANNOT believe that you would do a thing like this. And how are we supposed to let Andy know how to live in this family if this is the sort of example that you set. Go up to your room, and you think about what you’ve done.
Andy: It wasn’t him. It was me. He were putting it back.
Sarah: Is that true? (Robert nods)
Sarah: Why?
Andy: The kids at school, they’re always on at me for money... (Robert’s like whaaa 😳).
