Last week, in chapter 287, toga made an apparition at the end of the chapter. We see her mourn twice's death (honestly mood, he didn't deserve to die) and questions at what point heroes draw the line.
at some point of the series we question the pro hero system, even more after hawks killed twice. It's even more frustrating when we know twice's background, that he really wasn't a bad person. (also a difficult pill to swallow are some of Hawk's questionable actions (ejem, best jeanist, ejem), since the character is really dear to the fandom).
so, what better option than asking the heroes themselves? I've said it before and i'll say it again, it's going to be really interesting when she asks deku, for the single reason that he is so invested in saving people and becoming the greatest hero that he doesn't take in account the costs of saving everyone. I mean, he knows what it will cost him and we have seen it before with his autodestructive tendencies and selfless acts. But what about the villains he is going to fight with? Don't they have a dream too? What about their backgrounds?
It reminds me in some way of gentle criminal. He was someone who once dreamed of becoming a great hero, he kinda remind us of deku in his determination to become one. But when he caused a major incident when trying to save and failing, his dreams got crushed. We could see he was blinded by his own dreams that he didn't consider there's more than determination and doing the greater good at play.
So, it's a great opportunity for deku to finally see how is the hero job in reality. For him to know if justice is really served, if they are 'saving' anyone at all.
In other part, we got to see a bit of toga and uraraka's interaction.
I gotta say I felt really bad for toga because uraraka dismissed her question without giving it importance. For toga sure it wasn't a dumb question. I don't blame uraraka, her priority at the moment was evacuate people and save as much as she can, so toga wanting to just talk to her must be puzzling to her. But we can see that uraraka has the same mindset of saving no matter what, same thing as deku. He tells toga that if she's going to get the way of her goal, she'll arrest her immediately. It's not scandalous, however we know what toga was refering to and judging by her face in the last panel she isn't very happy to hear that. Definitely that make her upset.
Now, the outcomes from this could be many. The nice ones are that toga goes back with the LoV and ask deku as a 'last chance'. And uraraka will think about it later on and maybe ask deku what he thinks about it, probably getting more attention later on. It's just a reeaally hypothetical outcome, because in my last post I thought there could be some other "connection" between deku and AfO (like idk liking deku's potential or smth to be used as villain) but in the end AfO ended being an anti deku lmfaoo.
anyways, the worst one is that toga uses her quirk in order to prentend to be uraraka, creating caos and whatever. She might ask deku in that form, who knows.
My actual concern is deku's answer, if he's going to see the whole picture of being a hero and how his mindset will be affected (aside for the tons of therapy he'll need after this arc lol)
