He’s at least relieved the two are alone in the teacher’s lounge or Soren would’ve gotten much more flustered. “Wait till we get home for bites.”

@1bdad Aaaaaaand... Neito managed to mess up again. Of course he did. He’d been trying to avoid something like this, but, well... Apparently he failed. And now he’s got his teacher’s attention.
Well, at least Vlad-sensei is better than most of his old teachers. Rather than verbally answering he nods, quietly slipping into his seat and ignoring the worried looks of his classmates. No time for that now, he just needs to focus and try to pay attention.

Soren frowned softly as he looked the invite over. He hated events with every fiber of his being, knew the commission only invited him to show off how ‘good’ and ‘reformed’ he was. He’d found a few excuses over the years to not attend but this year? This year he was left on a blank. No excuse came to mind at the moment.
He winced, running a hand through his hair before looking to Vlad. Seems the teacher was also not excited about going to the event. “We gotta get ourselves out of this.” He muttered. Thankfully Nezu had simply dropped off the invites in the teachers mailboxes and then left, so he didn’t know the two wanted out. “Any ideas?”

Soren looked over as he felt the hand on his shoulder. He gave a weak smile, sighing quietly to himself. It took him a moment before he spoke. “Honestly? I’m tired. So much has happened in such little time. I always knew this society would crumble but…never realized it would this quickly.” He shifted closer and loosely wrapped his arms around Vlad. “So many have died or retired and it’s—getting harder to have hope.” He shakily inhaled. “I’m scared of loosing you too, Vlad.”
