Day 8 of #1day1drawingchallenge from @dang_go watercolor book, #1일1그림. Tbh, this isn’t how it looks on the book. Only the layout looks exactly like this. In the book, it’s quite loose and not too many details. But i want to paint this butterfly for so long now, might as well jump into the details. —— The butterfly is inspired from the real Morpho peleides (Blue Morpho). I love the blue color it has on the wings, yet when it’s viewed from the side like this, you can see its pattern underside. The flower is hugely inspired by @minartillust pink flower. I also tried her way of coloring the petals. Love how it turns out. It looks darker in real life tho. —— This is also first time i tried Fluid watercolor paper. The cold-pressed 300gsm handled wet on wet quite well, hence less weird and ugly watercolor bloom.
