Will you please stop saying that Sirius grew up with domestic violence? It's pathetic. Sirius was a spoiled, whiny kid who felt superior to everyone else. Sirius Orion Black isn't an abused child, he's an abuser with an aura of superiority. A kid who would make his parents take another kid's toy away if he wanted it. Sirius Black wasn't a kind teenager. Sirius was everything that is wrong, and nothing justifies that. He didn't change. He was a child, a teenager, and an adult who bullied the same person simply because he didn't like them. He's a detestable person who doesn't deserve the slightest appreciation or kindness. He's not a effeminate kid with daddy issues, he's an unfeminine boy who has a different ideology than his parents, but oh surprise! He's the same garbage or worse when he bullies, hurts, and humiliates a person who is genuinely suffering.

Remus Lupin was a stupid and kind person, but also a horrible one. He was a prefect and just watched Snape get hurt and turned a blind eye. He watched, listened, and probably participated in the pranks, and only got angry at the last one because he himself was in danger. Not because of Snape.

James Potter tormented and sexually abused a person just for a girl, who he wouldn't stop harassing. YES, HARASS because Lily said no many times and he kept insisting. He saved Snape just because he didn't want to be stained by the stupidities of his friends. James Potter would have killed Snape himself, James Potter was a horrible person no matter what, he didn't change. The very stupid man died, too young to change, but even dating Lily bothered Snape just because, why could he?

Marauders are not good guys.

Snape may have been horrible if you want him to be, but he never said he was a good person and he talked a lot about how he was different from his family.
