Preference #68: The Kind of Boyfriend He Is

Harry: (Family Oriented Kind) You always admired Harry for how he put his family first. He never got to see them much because he was always traveling and making appearances but whenever he got a break he wouldn’t think twice on visiting them. He spends almost all his vacations with them. So when the two of you started going out, he was both excited and nervous to introduce you to his family. He was excited because he finally wanted his family to meet the girl he was falling in love with. Nervous because he worried that if they did not like you, he would not know what to do. But luckily for the both of you, you meshed with the Styles family extremely well. Starting with Gemma and Anne then moving onto to the uncles, aunts, and grandparents. And happily, Harry got along with your family extremely well too. Both your parents were impressed with his sobriety and manners. Soon the Styles and (Y/L/N)’s started merging even closer together when Harry and you announced your engagement. It was not a large gathering, only family members and a few close family friends but that was all the two of you needed. When the announcement was made the crowd erupted into cheers and even a few tears. Both families were excited to spend the rest of their lives together and so were you and Harry. Louis: (Exciting Kind) There was never a dull moment when it came to Louis. Spontaneous and rebellious are only a few adjectives to describe him. He would call you up in the middle of the night, share his dreams, and get lost in them. Other times, he would pick you up from your house, having everything already planned and arranged for the two of you to go somewhere exotic. Honestly, the both of you enjoyed the insolation of a foreign place. Away from all the lights except sun light and moon light. Both of you shared a common infatuation with traveling. Both of you liked the adventure but were sensible to realize that life can not always be this way. When the two of you imagined your future, you imagined it together (obviously), and settled down with a kid or two, maybe even a dog. Both of you shared common interests but rather than thinking of the future, you both wanted to live in the present. Boring was not in either of your vocabulary, however, responsibility was. You two were disobedient but never reckless. You two were smarter than that and with the quirky attitude never made a moment boring. A relationship with Louis is guaranteed to be thrilling one, in more ways that one.   Liam: (Sensitive and Sensible Kind) Sensitive boys are highly misunderstood. Just because a boy is sensitive, does not mean he cries all the time, it means he actually takes the time to listen and to understand your problem. Liam always steps into your shoes and helps you resolve your problems with logical and sensible solutions. His high levels of empathy and compassion never failed to impress you. But you wished you could pull him out of his shell like he did to you. He is always trying to help other people resolve their problems that he sometimes forgets he has to take care of himself. He says he does not tell you things because he thinks he is burdening you with his problems. He was caring towards everyone but himself, pushing all his troubles to the back of his mind. But over time, he will open his heart to you like you did to him. You have to push, gently, and one day all the emotions will run out of him. That day will be a very difficult one for the both of you but an important step in your relationship. Zayn: (Protective Kind) Zayn first handedly knew the negative affects stardom had on people. He slowly felt himself falling into the corrupt hands of fame and fortune. He would go out every night and drank immeasurable amounts of alcohol. But then he met a stray of light that pulled him out of his darkness. You. Thats why he watched over you so carefully. That’s why he always had a protective arm around when the cameras were out. The Zayn you were with at home was far different from the Zayn in front of the paparazzi. The person who was always home with you was fun-loving, affectionate, and open. But the man on the red carpet was composed, calm, and collected. But no matter what man was in front of you, you knew Zayn loved you completely and unconditionally. He would always wrap an arm around him and whisper sweet-nothings into your ear. At home, while the two of you are wrapped warmly in blankets, he would trace his fingers up and down your legs sending a shiver down your spine. Though there were two personalities, there was only one man, a man that you loved and will always love. Niall: (Old Fashioned Kind) He always liked the idea of traditions. Like on every Valentines Day, the two of you would eat an ice cream sundae at a diner a few blocks away from your apartment. Or how every Labor Day, the two of you would throw a barbecue for friends and family. So when he finally decided to place a ring on your finger, he wanted follow his family tradition. On the night he proposed, a video of Niall and your parents came on. He was so nervous. He would rub his hands together and play with his fingers. In the video, he asked your parents for permission to marry you. When they both excitedly said yes, Niall’s entire face lit up so bright. Then the screen went black and when the lights came back on, he was in front of you down on one knee. You did not hesitate to yes, in fact you did it in a heart beat. You couldn’t wait to spend the rest of your life with him. You could not wait to share your traditions with him and follow his traditions for the rest of your life.
